Busy Few Months

Phew! Crazy few months. At school we are finally moved in to our new building. It's so beautiful. I will take some pictures this week to show you.

And I'm Pregnant! About 30 weeks now so not much farther to go. They say it's another girl, which I am super excited about, but at the same time I don't want to get all set on that and have it be a boy. So I'm staying reserved with it.

I've also added a few new hats. This one's my favorite!

The Pink Lollipop Hat

Fun me fact: I can't crochet to save my life. I have tried and tried. And I keep seeing all of these super adorable hats with crochet flowers. So I try and try again. To the point I am in tears. So I gave up. I can i-cord however and this was my solution. I think she turned out cute.

I am going to try to blog a little more frequently. We'll see how that goes! Hope you had a happy turkey day.

New Clippie Cuteness in the Etsy Shop

I spent a hot hot day packing up my Montessori classroom. Montessori is my "real" job. The one that pays the bills.

The end of the year is so bitter sweet. Exciting with next year being so full of potential but so sad as I have a few sweet ones moving onwards and upwards out of my little room and onto bigger things. I always mourn a little at this time of year.

My Math area ready to be boxed.

A forgotten scribble and my Lucas boys name tag. They are always so crumpled by the end of the year.

Flags that represent where we travelled this year.

I did manage to add some cuteness to my Etsy shop. I already sell felt flower clippies in my Booth but I thought I'd try them out on Etsy.

Here's a peek:

Let me leave you with a slice of the sweetest part of my life!

Piper's Happy Valentine

My Mom bought Piper a chocolate covered Oreo for Valentines, last week. Brandon and I of course split half because there was no way we were giving her the entire thing! She, needless to say, loved it. We just threw her right into the tub afterwards.

My newest confections! Both are available on my Etsy store. I adore these little flower topped ones. This hat was inspired by one from Susan B. Anderson's book Itty Bitty Hats. She has really cute stuff!

The purple ribbon hat is an absolute dream. I had a lot of fun picking out just the right ribbon. I love ribbon. I love fabric more but ribbon is so much fun.

Great Dr. Pepper Fiasco of 2008

So last night as I was gettin' snuggly down in my bed, I over turned my glass of Dr. Pepper (yes, I drink Dr.Pepper at midnight) onto my KNITTING BASKET. which, of course, was full of my brand spankin' new yarn.

I literally walked away for a moment and had to calm down before I could even think of how to salvage anything.

In swooped my darling husband! He helped me hand wash each skein. Then he rolled them out all over the living room floor to dry! What a guy! So my living room looked like a very colorful zebra this morning.

We don't have enough room for every skein that got wet so we put them in the fridge so they wouldn't mildew over night! Tonight we will undwind them before bed!

Little Piper is still on the mend from the great fingernail fiasco of 2008. Just one thing after another, huh!

Poor Piper Lela

My beautiful model is my very own bundle of joy Piper Lela. She had an accident at school the other day and her entire finger nail got ripped from her finger. It was every bit as traumatic and disgusting as it sounds. But today she is back to her chipper self. She barely even cringes when I clean it.
So, back to Lollipops and Cupcakes. I used to make handbags and hair accessories but since Piper came along turning my back to sew even one stitch has become impossible. But i can get down in floor with her to knit. So Lollipops and cupcakes was born.
I also found that all baby stuff looks exactly alike. I wanted unique, super cute stuff for her. I figured other moms must be thinking the same thing. Plus I needed a way to fund my crafting habit.
